Welcome to the Broadband USA Mapping Tool homepage! The Mapping Tool continues to be available to view the BIP Map of Non-Rural Areas, which will be updated as announcements are made with proposed funded service areas of approved Broadband Initiatives Program (BIP) and Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) Round 1 applications.
However, the Mapping Tool is currently being upgraded to reflect the Notice of Funds Availability (NOFA) for Round 2 of the BIP. Please note that any entities planning to apply for any BTOP funding source, or for BIP Technical Assistance and Rural Library funds are not required to use this Mapping Tool.
Mapping Tool upgrades will be completed by the time that the application window for BIP Infrastructure Programs opens on February 16, 2010.
Entities planning to apply for BIP Infrastructure funding during Round 2 must create new proposed funded service area maps using the Mapping Tool on or after February 16, 2010. BIP Infrastructure applications submitted during Round 2 which contain map reference numbers which had been begun prior to February 16, 2010, will result in the disqualification of your Round 2 application.
